Cultural Performance
1. Gyebang Moo (Kingdom, highclass Women's dance) - MKTAA/ Chumsarang
This dance was widely performed during the chosun dynasty to entertain nobles. The key point
of this dance are fluid motion, rhythmic movements, and graceful lines.
2. Doll Dance - Bulta Art Performing Group (Art Director, Eujean Jung)
Traditionally in korea, the Lunar New Year is a time of great ioy and festivity. one of the traditional games during this festival is dramatized in the Doll Dance.
Each participant makes and decorates a beautiful korean doll. Then she manipulates the doll she has made, puppet fashion, in the various movements of the dance.
3. Singosan Taryeong (Korean traditional folk song) – Kyung Jae Lee, tenor & Soo Lee, piano
4. Hourglass Drum Dance - MKTAA/Chumsarang
The bright rhythms of the hourglass drum and the grace of the hourglass drum dance are brought vividly to life in the work.
The depth of the Ariang melory and beauty of the Soijanko rhythm hamonize with traditional choreography to create an outstanding work
